The 2024 Quality Aging Conference will be held Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness, 114 W. 30th Street, in Winston-Salem.
This free event is for seniors and their caregivers and is filled with resources and information on living independently and maintaining the highest quality of life at any age.
The conference is presented by Forsyth County Government in partnership with the Senior Services Age-Friendly Forsyth Initiative.
The conference includes a variety of sessions on topics such as senior health issues, avoiding scams, Medicare, Medicaid and Advanced Directives. The event will also feature many vendors that serve the aging community. Lunch will be provided to participants free of charge.
Spanish workshops sessions have been added this year. Vendors who provide services for the Latino community will also be available.
