We guide potential homebuyers on their journey to purchasing their first home by partnering in education and providing down payment assistance.

Economic & Workforce Development

We support the County’s economic growth through coordinated efforts among industry, education, and local government.

Housing Rehabilitation

We provide housing repair services that result in safe, stable, and suitable housing for qualifying Forsyth County residents.

Code Enforcement

We enforce the minimum housing standards throughout the county focusing on the health and safety of occupants and neighbors.

We support community projects and initiatives that align with the mission of our department.

The Consolidated Housing and Neighborhood Services Plan

The Consolidated Housing and Neighborhood Services Plan (Con Plan) serves as a single grant application to HUD for a variety of funding sources that are used to support key services and projects in our community. The process also includes an annual action plan and performance report, to review progress toward comprehensive housing and service goals to outline plans for meeting those goals in yearly increments.

Community & Economic Development Micro-Enterprise Individual Development Account (IDA) Applications

Forsyth County Community & Economic Development will be accepting applications for its upcoming Micro-Enterprise Individual Development Account (IDA) Program beginning August 1 through September 30. The IDA program is a match savings program for low to moderate income persons who operate a business in Forsyth County.
