Forsyth County Government is currently conducting a nationwide search for applicants to become the next county manager.
The county manager is responsible for supervising county operations in accordance with the laws, regulations, policies, direction and guidance made by the County Commissioners. Job responsibilities include preparing and submitting an annual budget to the commissioners and advising them on financial matters, services and other issues.

Applications are due Jan. 26, 2024 at 12 p.m. The most qualified candidates will have screening interviews with the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners’ staff who will select candidates to be interviewed by the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners, who will appoint the new manager in Spring of 2024.

The new manager will succeed Dudley Watts, who recently announced his plans to retire at the end of June 2024.
