The Forsyth County Department of Public Health is holding activities for Men’s Health Week from June 12-16 to encourage men to take care of themselves and their health.
Forsyth Public Health has the following activities planned:
June 12, Men Matter Monday! Men’s Health Coordinator Stanley Howard will be offering men’s health facts and educational materials in the front lobby of Forsyth Public Health, 799 N. Highland Ave. In Winston-Salem, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
June 13, T-Shirt Tuesday! Wear blue, or a Men’s Health button, to show your support for Men’s Health Week.
June 14, Walk It Out Wednesday! A walk will be held around the Health and Human Services Campus from 1-2 p.m. Walkers will meet in front of Forsyth Public Health starting at 12:30 p.m.
June 15, Talk About It Thursday! Forsyth Public Health will post a Men’s Health video featuring the perspectives of different men in the community. The video will be posted on Forsyth Public Health’s Facebook and the Forsyth County website: https://www.forsyth.cc.
June 16, Facebook Friday! Upload a photo related to Men’s Health with #Men’sHealthWeekFC as the hashtag.
“These events are to remind men to take care of their bodies,” said Health Services Coordinator Alexis Lambert. “Forsyth Public Health wants men to be healthy, happy and with us for a long time.”
