2023 4-H Photography Contest
Youth ages 8-18 are encouraged to submit photographs in EACH of the three categories:
- Special effects (this category typically changes every year)
- 4-H in Action
- Nature’s Beauty
All youth participants must be approved members of 4-H Online.
Adults may also enter photographs in the “4-H in Action” category.

Basic Rules
- Photographs may be in color OR black-and-white
- Photographs MUST BE SUBMITTED at the highest image resolution possible in order to display high-quality images but no larger than 10 GB.
- Photograph MUST BE SAVED AS: AgeDivision_PhotograpyCategory_FirstName_LastName_2023
For Example: Junior Special Effects Photo for Chris Clover saved as: Jr_Effects_Chris_Clover_2023
- Please include the following information with your entries:
- Photographer’s Name
- Photographer’s email address (that is checked regularly)
- 4-H Age as of January 1
- Age Division: Junior Division (Ages 8-13) Senior Division (Ages 14-18) Adult Division (Ages 19+)
- Category: 4-H in Action (Only category for Adult Division) Nature’s Beauty Special Effects
- Title of Photograph is REQUIRED.
- A short sentence (10 words or less) to inform the judges about your picture’s specific details is optional.
