COVID-19 vaccine walk-ups accepted at Public Health Department

Forsyth County Department of Public Health is now taking walks-ups for COVID-19 vaccinations for ages 12 and up during its normal immunization clinic hours on weekdays.

COVID-19 vaccinations will be available at the Public Health Department, 799 N. Highland Avenue. Clinic hours are Mon-Wed. 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Thurs. 9:30 a.m.-8 p.m. and Fri. 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The clinic is closed for lunch from noon-1 p.m. Mon-Thurs.

This will be in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination appointments already announced for this week at the Public Health Department on Thursday from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Appointments are available at Bit.Ly/FCNCCovidVaccine or by calling 336-360-5260 from 8 a.m. -5 p.m. Mon.-Fri.

Vaccinations are free and no ID or insurance is needed. The single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine, for ages 18 and up, will be an option while supplies last. The two-dose Pfizer vaccine, for ages 12 and up, is also currently available.
