For the fifth time in the past decade, the Forsyth County 4-H Forestry team will be competing in the National 4-H Forestry Invitational at Jackson's Mill State 4-H Camp during the summer of 2020. The senior team placed first in the state contest held Saturday, October 5 at Clemmons Educational State Forest in Clayton, NC. Team members were Zane Richardson who placed first in the state as an individual, Luke Arrowood who was second, Ethan Cook who was third overall, and Nathan Patton. In addition, the junior team also placed first in the state. Victoria Richardson was the first place individual in the junior competition. Her teammates were Ben Cook, Cana Hooker, and Sarah Patton. Rachel Patton participated in the contest as a cloverbud.
The team would like to thank Forsyth County Government, Forsyth County Farm Bureau, and the Tractor Supply Paper Clover campaign for supporting their team and helping to cover expenses.
