Tanglewood Park has partnered together with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and several other local businesses and organizations to provide the 2012 Amazing Summer Escape Challenge!
This challenge is for the students of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County to continue to learn, be physically active, serve, discover, and explore their city while on their summer break. Not only is the challenge for the students, but it is also a challenge for the parents and the community to inspire, engage, and encourage students in academic endeavors.
As a participating sponsor of the 2012 Amazing Summer Escape Challenge, Tanglewood Park is hosting the annual summer series: Tuesdays at Tanglewood! The summer programs feature a variety of nature activities and will be free to the public, with the exception of the Tanglewood Park entrance fee for all programs at Shelter 2 and Walnut Hall. Registered RV campers and annual pass holders do not pay the entrance fee.
These programs will be take place on most Tuesdays beginning June 12 through August 14 at 10:00 am. All programs last approximately an hour.
Participants should bring their own sunscreen, insect repellent, and water bottle, and wear comfortable hiking clothes and shoes. The programs are designed for all ages, but children ages 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
