Great Backyard Bird Count
Do you want to enjoy nature, spend more time with your family, and help conservationists in North Carolina? Then the Great Backyard Bird Count is for you. On Saturday, February 14th, from 10 AM - noon, the Nature Education Department will teach families how to participate in the Bird Count hosted by the National Audubon Society and Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
Learn bird identification techniques and advice on where to go in the park for the best bird-watching opportunities. Then, conduct your own count and enter it into the Great Backyard Bird Count database. The classes will take place at Walnut Hall. Admission is free after $2.00 per car park entrance fee.
