Moore Elementary Landscape and Garden Club's mission is to improve the landscape around the school with a focus on native plants, edible plants, and a garden that will educate the children on healthy food, sustainability, and the science of agriculture. Saturday Workdays in 2014/2015:
Sept 13 - Weed our garden beds, General Cleanup
Oct 4 - Plant memorial trees and fill in 2 of the parking lot islands with Irises and Peonies
Nov 1 - spread leaf mulch in the bed on the big hill
Nov 22 - Continue spreading leaf mulch
Feb 28 - Spread compost in garden beds, turn over soil

This year we hope to focus our efforts on maintaining the landscaping that we planted last year, focus more on our garden, and continue our effort to connect our gardens and our classrooms.
