This garden is a children's garden designed to provide information to children at Diggs-Latham about where and how fresh foods are produced. The garden was also intended to be a teaching tool available to educators in this building allowing them to teach across the curriculum. The produce that comes from this garden is currently being added to weekend backpack participants when available and appropriate.Donations have been made to Granville Place, churches, WSNA garden fence and other senior facilities during the summer.
The garden has existed for the last 4 years. Each year at least one new item is grown to broaden the knowledge of students about the foods they eat. This year's new plant was green cotton.
