Synopsis and Discussion

Particle pollution levels have increase a bit, Tuesday, across the Triad, and are hovering in the upper code GREEN/low code YELLOW range. Clouds will be on the increase later Tuesday into Wednesday as the next weather system develops and pushes into the region, from the south and west. Snow showers will slowly develop, Wednesday afternoon, and persist through Thursday afternoon. Clouds will limit any air mass mixing Wednesday and with light winds expected, particle pollution will remain along the code GREEN/YELLOW range. Behind the departing system, brisk NW winds will help to lower the AQI back to mid code GREEN, Thursday. The cleaner air mass looks to continue through Friday, as well (GENTRY).
