According to the Food Hardship in America 2010 Report, Winston-Salem ranks third in the country for highest rate of food insecurity. That means we have many hungry people who could benefit from some of the vegetables being grown in our community gardens.
Food pantries around the county have been identified as drop off sites for fresh produce. View a list of local food pantries. All of the listed pantries welcome produce from community gardens and will help get the food into the hands and mouths of those who need it.
