Ground is broken on new Tanglewood Clubhouse

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Tanglewood Clubhouse was held on May 20 and afterwards demolition began on the old clubhouse.

The old building has a storied history. It opened in 1973 and hosted the PGA Championship at Tanglewood in 1974. It was used by golfers in the Senior PGA Tour’s Vantage Championship, which was held at Tanglewood from 1987 to 2002. The new clubhouse will be built on the site of the old one with hopes that it'll attract more golfers and tournaments to Tanglewood's outstanding golf courses. The project is supported by $11.9 million in County funding and $4 million in State funding. The new clubhouse is expected to open in the latter half of 2025.
