Captain T. Sammy Peddycord Retires

Captain T. Sammy Peddycord was hired by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office on September 16, 1995, as a Law Enforcement Detention Officer. Captain Peddycord went to Basic Law Enforcement Training in 1997. He worked at Kernersville Police Department for a while before returning to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office on February 18, 2013, as a Deputy Sheriff.

Captain Peddycord earned several promotions throughout his career. He received five Letters of Commendation. Captain Peddycord served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He attended FBI-LEEDA, Inc. and worked as a S.W.A.T Commander, General Instructor, and Firearms Instructor and received numerous Instructor Certifications within his 28 years of law enforcement.

Throughout his career, Captain Peddycord served in various capacities within the Investigative Services Division, Field Services Division, Animal Services, and Professional Standards. He was the Captain of Professional Standards when he retired.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office wishes Captain T. Sammy Peddycord all the best in his future endeavors.
