Neal Place Community Garden

  1. Neal Place Community Garden1365 Tyndall Street
    Winston-Salem, NC 27105

Located just off of University Parkway, the Neal Place Community Garden is in its first full summer season (2014). The garden is the result of a collaborative effort between Habitat for Humanity, Neighbors for Better Neighborhoods, and the residents of Neal Place. Gardeners enjoy gathering in the garden to grow fresh produce together and build community.

Sandra Stinson, one of the garden's leaders and an active volunteer, says, ""The garden has a positive effect on everything around it. It's a part of the revitalization of our neighborhood and the surrounding community. It benefits not only the residents of Neal Place, but also the people who live on 13th Street, Thurmond Street, and Harrison Avenue.
